"Wonderful hospitality and a fantastic room A thoroughly enjoyable stay at Somerville House. I stayed in room 9 on the top floor, which was fantastic, and the home-cooked breakfast each morning was a real highlight. The owners were exceptionally polite and welcoming, with a lovely personal approach that made the stay feel special. It reminded me of a particularly enjoyable stay in Windermere: great accommodation, a proper breakfast, and hosts who clearly care about their guests. A lovely place to stay in Hereford. I’d happily return and would thoroughly recommend it."

"Lovely one night stay. We knew room was small when we booked but it had everything we needed. Clean comfortable bed and very clean bathroom. We couldn't get radiator to come on but we found the thermostat by the door in the morning. The pub itself was welcoming. Breakfast facilities was great. Would definately stay again"

"All staff very warm and welcoming. Accommodation was very good, comfortable as described. Breakfast was great, freshly cooked with good local produce. Food, evening meals were great. Although there was an issue with slow service on our first night, it was sorted quickly and staff more than made up for this, over the rest of our stay. It is an extremely busy place for good food and drink which is great."

"The hotel is out in country, but is a busy place at times and plenty of car parking. The hotel looks fine from the outside, but a bit tired looking inside. My room was so spacious. It was like a suite. Again, a bit dated, but very clean and tidy. Tea/coffee facilities and TV worked well. Shower had plenty of hot water and some lovely toiletries were supplied. The view from the room over the expanse of flat roofing was a bit scruffy with some long neglected plant pots and other detritus. Breakfast was a delight. The first day I had the full English, but it was huge and piping hot. The next day I had Eggs Benedict. Bacon or salmon??? The lovely staff member said have one of each. They were delicious. Cereals, juice, fruit, etc if you want them. I think the hotel is really good value and I would definitely return if back in the area."

"An old building with historic interest situated in a town with many interesting old building which is well worth a walk around. The staff were friendly and helpful. Evening meals and Sunday carvery were tasty and specials were explained. A thing to note is that there is no lift so mobility needs to be good to walk up stairs which was not a problem for us. Enjoyed our stay here and will be back next year as still much more to explore in the ares"
