I was very please with the room and the owners. I expected to show up and the room pictures not allign with what was there. I was extremely happy to find that was not the case. The interior has been remodeled and is nicer than a lot of hotels that I have stayed in. The owners were kind and very helful when I needed anything and I was happy to extend my stay further. I will be returning to Ellijay for work and have already booked my next stay here. Well worth the money and frankly I dont think they are charging enough.

This was a nice stay for the price. Are there nicer rooms, sure. But the room was clean, quiet and staff was friendly. The checking in outside was a little different but I enjoyed my stay and would return next time I am in that area.

The room was immaculate and all the staff very nice. We will definitely be staying at this hotel again in the future. The lady at the front desk was so sweet and made sure everything was fine in our room. Excellent hotel

Elijay is not an easy place to find a last minute B&B or cabin. The Budget Inn is a reasonably priced, clean, convenient alternative. Pulling into the parking lot looks a bit sketchy but our worries we’re soon calmed. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are immaculately clean. The beds are comfortable. It was everything we needed for a quick overnight stay.

Desk person was rude and turned away my family. Locals can’t stay evidently which isn’t stated on the booking site and after traveling all day they were turned away and tired and had to drive somewhere else to stay.

Everything inside was very good. The only things I would recommend they add is a box of tissues and an alarm clock, but I've never seen an alarm clock at a hotel before. Outside seems little dingy, but I don't think it is unsafe.

It is a nice little motel. It was a stop off the highway on our trip. It was clean and comfortable. The man at the counter was very sweet and polite. We would stay there again.

Unfortunately, the outside appearance does not do justice in communicating the quality we found inside. Our room was nicely painted, furnished and decorated, very clean, and a good bed. It was equal to other good places we have stayed. Personnel was very nice and helpful. The price was really good. We would definitely stay here again.

Property is mainly used by construction workers. Facility is clean but furniture and AC are old and need repair. Bathrooms have been renovated and are very nice. We needed a place that allowed dogs and they were the only place in Ellijay. There was no good place to walk the dog.

Do you have something against construction workers? At least they are working, and are actually polite and clean guests. And you were in a mountain area, there is plenty of space for pets

Older motel
Its an older looking motel. The room was clean inside. Only two small towels and minimal soaps/shampoo. Bring your own is better. Check in is at 4pm and check out 10am. Expect a knock on the door at 950am. The service could really use improvement. Office is closed during the daytime.

Stayed a total of 2 stays for 4 nights in 2 different rooms. Rooms were very clean, spacious, recently updated and comfortable beds. Appreciated having refrig and microwave in rooms. Felt bad for the female owner who was frustrated having to clean the rooms all by herself due to unable to find help as she expressed to me. Unfortunately seems like the same problem throughout the US due to folks rather be on welfare than work. Would prefer to have check out at standard 11 am instead of 10, especially because on vacation.

Rooms are very clean, and updated. Owners are willing to help if you have any problems. Extra Pet cost is a little high, and nowhere to really walk your dog. Other than that it was a very pleasant weekend.

Upon driving up to the property, my partner and I noticed the shabby conditions of the exterior of the hotel and rose our eyebrows. We didn’t expect much from a hushed hotel but the exterior of the building desperately needed update and there were junk/equipment and bbq pits oddly around the place. Saw evidence of longer term tenants which was a little off putting at first. The saving grace was our room which was seemingly clean, has luxury vinyl flooring and all of the amenities we needed inside, including a very powerful A/C unit. The cons: tv volume didn’t work well on the tv so we had to move it up to our bed to even hear it well at full 100 volume. There was a cigarette burn hole on my bed cover. Also, we didn’t have enough shower toiletries or towels. Didn’t think we had any as they were literally two small pouches of shampoo and conditioner and one mini bar of soap we found as we packed up to leave. The ceiling area around the bathroom vanity was obviously patched from some sort of water damage and overall the room and back of the door had needed to be repainted. There were absolutely no other amenities: no pool, no free breakfast and $1 if we lost the room key. Location was fairly close to downtown Elijay so that was also a good thing and the area was quiet.

It is an older building, but to my surprise it was very clean and newly remodeled in all the right areas. All new bathroom, new linoleum floor, new paint and just felt clean. Great price too. I never leave reviews, but this place felt safe, clean and in a very convenient location.

Bed & pillows very comfortable. Room was extremely clean. Marriott could take lessons on how clean it was. Staff was very accommodating. I will definitely stay here in the future.
