"The Cordis was a nice hotel with very gracious and helpful staff. Unfortunately, the original portion of the hotel (not the Pinnacle Tower) was extremely outdated and very much showing its age. Because of that, I don't believe it lived up to it's 5-star rating in numerous ways."

"This place badly needs renovating. Everything feels old, worn out, and poorly maintained. For the price they charge, it's just not good enough. The bed only had a sheet on it with no duvet or proper blanket, even though it is nearly winter and the bathroom window wouldn't shut because the handle was broken. The TV didn't even work, and the Wi-Fi wouldn't connect at all. The room also wasn't very clean. There were empty packets and opened soap bars left in the drawers from previous guests. Overall, this motel feels neglected and run down. There are better motels right next door for a similar price, so I wouldn't recommend staying here."

"Loved the compact, functional amenities in the room. Quiet, great sleep. Breakfast other than buffet was a write-off, since it had to be ordered from the bartender (!),, who was far too busy to even look at me, let alone take my order. I asked directions to any cafe nearby, and walked via an overpass some distance to it, where no one was at the counter. Ended up buying food from the Woolworth’s chain grocery store."

"The Motel has onsite parking though the security gates are not used at night for whatever reason. So public can walk in whenever they wish too The Motel has undergone recent renovations so rooms are like new Positives: -Staff are polite and flexible with your comings and goings and will work around you. -Location is close to Sylvia Park Shopping Centre and a trip to the city can be from 30 min to 15 min. -Shower pressure will blow the spots off your back and are the shower stall is big enough to fit four people in if you wanted too -Rooms are spotless and maintained each day -Towels are great and thick -Photos on website are accurate Negatives: -Single bed was as hard as a rock and my back made sure I knew it! Not advisable if you have back issues -There is no where for you to hang suits, jackets. Clothes will have to remain in your suitcase The bath room takes up 1/4 of the floor plan. Its a very large bathroom -If sleeping in due to a late night it appears staff either do not communicate or, shrugs. Being woken by hammer drills on the outside wall next to you is not fun. -There are no windows on the ground floor rooms. The rooms have an air vent that operates always. So only filtered air -Not really a child friendly environment -Toilet seat is like a public toilet seat. And toilet is quite high. Have a child? Bring a child seat perhaps Other than that, the bed was the worst aspect for us. Way too hard. "
