When we arrived the operators did not have any record of our booking. We spent one night in the advertised room then got moved to really terrible old accommodation which is Lizzie Villa and not the advertised picture on expedia. There is a hotel at the back of Lizzie Villa called Cuib Villa which is new and the advertised picture on expedia. The Lizzie Villa accommodation is awful. When asked about recompensing the difference in cost between the two accommodations I was told that they could not do that. We were moved again after spending one night in the awful accommodation back to Club Villa. Expedia need to sort out the mistake and change the name of the accommodation or the picture.

Great place, if you stay in the new guest house

The hotel didn’t know about our booking. First they showed us to their old guesthouse, which was a dump. Luckily, we had booked the new guest House, which is located right behind. I felt Sorry for those staying like animals in the old guest house. Wonder If it must be free or something? Wifi was terrible Slow! Breakfast was ok, nothing more. Staff was great and helpfull, but knew little English. Location was great! 5 min walk to «downtown».

Confusion

There was confusion about which accommodation I had booked and they didn’t have my booking to start with. What I had booked was not what was shown in the photos on the website. Very disappointing. However, it was resolved in the end.

A basic guesthouse in a great position set back from the hustle and bustle of Ella's cafes and bars. A perfect cheap base for exploring the surrounding beautiful countryside.

Great location and very comfortable

We loved our stay at Lizzie Villa, the room was big, bed comfortable, good Wifi and had a nice balcony area. Staff were very helpful, even phoning our driver for us when we left something in the car. Breakfast was delicious, great Sri Lankan omelet, fruit, fresh juice and tea & toast. Very conveniently located close to the centre of town, but on a back road so no road noise. The only drawback was they had a dog that was locked in a kennel/cage at night so whined and cried all night long!

sehr angenehm - Es ist neues Hotel in einer Nebenstraße. Es liegt dadurch ruhiger und doch Zentrale. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber, inkl. Bad, und geräumig. Die Internetverbindung war bei uns im Zimmer nicht so gut. Es lag vermutlich einfach an der Lage. Im Flur war perfekter Empfang. Einziger kleiner Nachteil, der Strom viel bei uns zeitweise Mal aus. Wir würden diese Unterkunft sofort wieder buchen.
