"This hotel was clean but could use new mattresses and flooring in the rooms. Staff were helpful, and the pool was amazing! Overall for the price was a good place to stay."

"Nate (the owner) goes above and beyond to make your stay in Galena fantastic. The hotel was well maintained with charming accomodations and patios with large tables and umbrellas, perfect for gathering with your group (or enjoying a quiet evening with a book) outdoors. If you're looking for things to do, Nate has you covered with an informative binder in your room and can answer any questions you might have. My only word of caution is that the street the hotel is located on is busier than one might expect. While the traffic noise isn't bad, there is a train that blows its horn at all hours of the night. You'd hear the train horn at any hotel in downtown Galena, so it's not a mark against the hotel, just something I wish I had known about beforehand."

McDonalds/gas station/convenience store located next door. Free breakfast including eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, waffles, yogurt, fruit, etc."

"The room was nice enough, the bed was really comfortable. The only complaint, there was no coffee pot in the room...i mean, yes, there was a mini fridge and microwave, but no coffee pot. Other than that the room was fine. The breakfast was less than desireable. Not sure what was going on there...I didnt see anything onther than cold ceral and coffee in the dining area during bfast hours...that was at 8:00 a.m. on a Sat morning."
