"The resort is beautiful, comfortable, and a wonderful place to stay. However, we stayed for a week and found that the complimentary amenities were not sufficient for a longer visit. Items such as toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, and laundry detergent ran out quickly, and purchasing replacements from the resort shop was extremely expensive. If you’re travelling with your family and planning to stay for several days, I highly recommend bringing your own essential supplies to save money and avoid inconvenience."

"We loved our stay at Sanctuary Lakes Fauna Retreat. The gorgeous little cabin is set in a peaceful lakeside setting surrounded by wildlife, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The cabin was spick and span and fully self-contained, with a lovely deck overlooking the lakes. There were plenty of blankets to keep us cosy on the cold winter nights, although the air conditioning kept the cabin perfectly comfortable. Tea and coffee were provided, along with complimentary milk, and the full-size fridge and microwave made it easy to bring our own meals for a longer stay. If I had just one suggestion for improvement, it would be the shower. The water was beautifully hot, but the shower rose seemed to have a split personality. One jet had enough pressure to cut steel, while the others felt like I'd turned up to the O.K. Corral armed with a water pistol! I kept trying to look up to see if the shower head needed turning to a different spray setting, but judging the angle while being pelted from all directions proved a challenge, so I eventually surrendered. The check-out process was a little tricky with no instructions on whether to leave the keys in the room or at reception (which was closed with no drop box). Eventually I texted for instructions and all was easily sorted! A wonderful place to stay, and we'd happily return."

"We really wished we had more time to stay and enjoy our time at the Quarterdecks Retreat! The set up was lovely - the upstairs had roomy bedrooms and spacious bathrooms, and even a hangout space between them! Downstairs was also a great layout - nice living/dining space, and having an equipped kitchen is something we would have appreciated and used more of if we had had the time. We arrived quite late at night, so unfortunately it was dark, and had to leave fairly early the next day, but we would definitely like to come back and stay for a longer visit another time! The staff were so wonderful at communicating with us and accommodating our late arrival and early checkout. Thank you, Quarterdecks!"
