Hotels near Elgin History Museum

"Pool was closed for most of our stay and when it was open, the water was so cold, we only made it 10 mins. The blinds in the room didn't cover the whole window, and only blacked out half the window. "

"The hotel was ok needs a bit of TLC things looking tired. Ice machine wasn’t working one of the lifts was out of order. The room was tidy could do with up dating.The staff were great did their best to help when asked. There were loads of shops and places to eat near by within walking distance "

"Room was clean and pleasant. Front desk staff was wonderful, helpful and genuinely courteous and kind (quick, too) when we needed extra towels and bedding. Breakfast was great, one of the things we have come to really enjoy at Embassy Suites, and plenty of seating in the dining area and the lovely lobby. Pool was pretty cloudy though and the pool bathrooms were not very clean."

"Went for a birthday girlfriends weekend. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and provided what we needed. Our room couldve had better lighting by perhaps an extra lamp. Nice big tv, comfortable beds. The balcony was big and spacious. The buffet breakfast was very good and the overall condition of the resort was well maintained. We called for early checkin and was told we could come as ealry as noon if we wanted at no extea charge. Id assume this would normally be based off occupancy. Cons** Our room's thermostat kept making a high pitched whistling noise intermittently, BUT we called maintained they arrived quickly and fixed the problem. The elevators are very small and since we were in the North building on the 9th floor, the walk seemed so long to get back to the downstairs lobby once we got off the elevators. "nice location close to the Northwest Transportation Center you can walk there 1 minute and take the Pace to Rosemont blue line to Ohare airport so you really dont need a car uber, lyft or arrange a car rental there"

"At the time my husband and l went down for breakfast, the bangles and bread were empty. They weren't filled again until we were finished eating."
