Starting with the positives. This accomodation likely has one of the best views in El Nido. Each room has a great view of the islands and overlooks vanilla beach. It’s a stunning place to wake up to. It also looks out to the zip line. Starting with access to the properties, the villas are located on a mountain which most local transportation are unable to drive up. The accomodation provides a pick up and drop off service through WhatsApp. We found this to be ok but often took a long time for the driver to show up. The alternative to this is walking up a steep hill but we wouldn’t recommend. As for the accomodation itself, this did not live up to expectations. 89 villas describes themselves as a “resort” providing house keeping service and amenities you would expect at a resort level price point. The rooms themselves felt dirty. No house keeping service was provided despite staying for 5 nights. No kettle/ bathroom supplies such as toilet paper or hand soap were provided. Also no laundry service. While the resort had a pool, it was not clean / safe to swim in. Complementary breakfast and coffee was provided however no drinking water was provided after the first day and costs 100 pesos for a tiny bottle of water. The staff are friendly however it felt most of our requests eg transport were difficult to arrange. The standards set by 89 villas were closer to that of a hostel and given the price point this feels unacceptable. Also… there is no winery.

Construction going on the entire stay. Lack of power causing no water, Wi-Fi or electricity use. We were locked out of the property at night and unable to get back for hours until morning. No answer via phone WhatsApp or at the property entrance. No van transport arrived to the pick up point to help with luggage up the steep hill to the entrance. Leaking bathroom sink and clogged toilet that were not resolved the entire stay. Improvements definitely need to be made, and staff was not eager to resolve any of the issues. In fact, they laughed when I told them I was locked outside all night.

Con este hotel he tenido mis altibajos y, en general, me voy bastante decepcionado, con la sensación de haber pagado mucho dinero por algo que de resort solo tiene el nombre. El personal, eso sí, ha sido muy agradable, especialmente una de las recepcionistas. A través de WhatsApp responden rápido y tratan de ayudarte en todo para que la estancia sea lo más cómoda posible, pero da la impresión de que este hotel tuvo un pasado mucho mejor. Las instalaciones están muy degradadas y hay muchos bichos dentro de las habitaciones, como gusanos y geckos. El olor del baño es continuo e insoportable, imposible de eliminar. Ducharse con agua caliente es prácticamente misión imposible, no funciona. La bañera de las cabañas estaba llena de hormigas, no tenía agua y, para colmo, encontramos dentro un cuchillo enorme. La puerta del balcón no cerraba correctamente y la limpieza es muy deficiente: en cuatro días solo vinieron una vez. No hay productos básicos de baño. Reconozco que, tras quejarnos, el personal reaccionó rápido y nos ofreció un cambio de habitación. La ubicación y las vistas son espectaculares: en lo alto de una colina, rodeado de selva. Eso sí, necesitas transfer para absolutamente todo. El último baja a las 10 y, aunque recepción intenta ayudarte, en tres ocasiones el transfer solicitado nunca apareció. Todo se gestiona por WhatsApp o llamadas, pero la cobertura en El Nido es pésima Para rematar, el precio del transfer cambió al hacer el check-out: de 100 PHP pasaron a p

Muy buen hotel, el staff es muy amable y las vistas son hermosas, el restaurant estaba un poco caro y no tan bueno. Debes depender del transporte del hotel para ir a la playa, nosotros nunca tuvimos problemas.
