"Beautiful place with a nice Adirondack feel. The restaurant was hopping when we checked in, and Cortney on the night desk was extremely helpful when we had a little snafu on our rooms. Quickly resolved and no attitude problem which was refreshing. Suite was big and well equipped with utensils, plates, and everything you would need to prepare simple food. There was a washer/dryer available at no charge, which was really nice. The shower even had a grab bar, which most places don’t. As a Senior, I really appreciate that. On our last night we ate in their restaurant which proved to be pretty good. And our server, Jen, could not have been nicer and very attentive. I highly recommend The Craftsman. Nice hotel without being a Hilton or Marriott, which made it extra nice."

"Title: Friendly staff, but room conditions and amenities fall short This was my first time staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Verona Turning Stone for a short family trip. The Good: The front desk staff was consistently polite, kind, and courteous throughout our stay. The common areas looked very clean, and the initial welcome was great. The Issues: Unfortunately, our room and the hotel amenities had several notable problems: Maintenance & Heating: Upon arrival, our room door was extremely difficult to open, requiring a call to front desk maintenance. On our second night when the temperature dropped, turning on the heat blew a strong smoke smell into the room, making it unusable. Staff said it was just from disuse, which was disappointing. Bedding & Mattress: The fitted sheet kept slipping off. When we removed it to fix it, we discovered the mattress was heavily stained and extremely uncomfortable. Entertainment & Wi-Fi: The internet connection was very poor, and I was unable to connect my Fire Stick to the TV, which was a major disappointment for evening downtime. Amenities: Having only one washer and one dryer for a 95-room property makes laundry practically non-existent. Additionally, while we saw a pool on site, no details or guidance were ever provided about guest access. While I appreciate how sweet and helpful the staff were, the room comfort, Wi-Fi, and property upkeep definitely need improvement."
