"I have very high expectations when deciding on a vacation rental. Unfortunately, it seems, I need to lower my expectations to avoid disappointment. I discovered that the indoor pool and hot tub was closed.(I traveled 500 miles there for my vacation) I was informed only after finding the door locked with a note on it, then inquiring at the front desk was told it was scheduled for maintenance, which had been planned for some time, and would not be accessible for at least a week. Apparently this information had been published to the Choice hotel website but not Expedia. I was told that I would have been notified but they did but gave my information to do so. I did receive some choice points to offset my inconvenience and disappointment. However, I will not get another chance for a vacation until next year so this really didn’t compensate me for my vacation that I did not get to fully enjoy. They offered the outdoor pool, but the weather was cold with 25 mph wind gusts, so that wasn’t an option for me. My advice is to double check the actual website not just Expedia since all the information isn’t always available on their site.
Aside from that, the hotel was fine. It seemed clean and the breakfast was good. Parking lot was large and the hotel was in a good area to walk around and look at the Bay, if the weather is good."
