"Another great stay at this wonderful and peaceful hotel. Beware of the dog (charge) - it’s expensive at £25 per pet per night. Otherwise one of our very favourite places to come and relax!"

"Host is lovey. This is an old pub that’s being converted into various rooms on the top 2 floors. Bathrooms are not on-suite however their are adequate facilities to be shared amongst the rooms so this wasn’t an issue for me. Value for money is second to none. The rooms are clean, tidy and spacious enough for 1-2 travellers. Downstairs their is a kitchen and eating area (multiple booths) so you can prepare and cook your own food. "The Fingal Hotel in Edinburgh Scotland was an excellent choice from the time my husband and I walked in. The Fingal Crew was amazing! We had a stunning breakfast and had dinner twice in the upscale restaurant in which they only use the finest ingredients. The Fingal crew was excellent in every aspect! I recommend this experience to anyone wanting something different. We will use this same floating hotel if visiting Edinburgh Scotland again!"

"Really enjoyed our stay. Staff were all excellent. The ocean mist has been restored to a high standard. Rooms were comfortable and spotless clean. Surprised at how spacious the room was given it's in a boat. Lots of lovely personal touches. My husband was worried about motion sickness but was not a problem at all. "Located a short walk from the Tram and opposite the croft. From the gates to the room, every part of this property is beautifully and thoughtfully designed and finishes well executed. The style and quality of finishes was excellent and as good as any 5 star hotel locally. I'd definitely recommend, especially for a romantic weekend away"

"Thanks for the help to keep our luggage before 3pm check-in & also with calling a taxi upon departure. Much appreciated. Anyway, we accidentally left behind 2 new luggage protectors under the bed due to the dim conditions under the bed extra space for luggage. Please keep them for your own good use. "This was such a beautiful cottage hotel. The food was excellent. I had the best macaroni and cheese I've ever had. The village has more shopping than you'd expect. It's definitely worth the short drive off the beaten path. And of course it's a filming location for Outlander which makes it extra special. "
