"***Read on, to see why we didn't have a 5-star experience.
We loved Brunswick (and Bath)! The Brunswick Hotel is a lovely place with a fantastic location and lots of parking, and it's clear that when they did a complete remodel a few years ago, they spent a lot of money. The finishes in our room were top rate. The bed is great. Our (deluxe King) room was large. Staff was great.
I'm deducting one star because, when they did the remodel, they didn't add any sound insulation in the ceilings and walls. We heard our neighbor above clomping on our ceiling at both 9pm and 6am. We heard our neighbor to the side talking normally (not shouting or angry). That's not acceptable for a hotel room that costs $300 per night.
Other (smaller) negatives: They offer free coffee in the lobby in the mornngs; it was only so-so quality--I didn't finish my cup. Wouldn't cost much to make that a great coffee experience. And this is a pet peeve of mine: There's no exhaust fan in the bathroom. As (surprisngly) humid and hot as it is in Brunswick right now (early August 2026), that's a significant oversight.
But, overall, this is a great place. There are many things to like."
