No sound insulation between the rooms so you can hear everything going on in the rooms above and each side. The hotel bar was like walking into the bar in star wars, so we eat at a local restaurant nearby "

"First time staying here, we were there for 2 nights. Reception staff were lovely, really friendly every time we spoke to them and even had a laugh on the phone. Proper nice vibe. Breakfast staff felt a bit abrupt though, like you were being rushed while eating which wasn’t great. The room itself was beautiful, at the top floor. "Comfy room, generous towels. Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service. There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach.
