Should Have Kept Lookinf

Old hotel, could be really charming with much work. Liked the golf theme. The place is really understaffed, but that’s probably because it’s a ghost town. The heat did not work at all in the room so we had to get a space heater, which kept it just above teeth-chattering. The breakfast was not good. Couldn’t wait to go the road the next morning.

I think you get what you pay for the hotel is ok it does need a good lick of paint and maybe some new carpets etc but other than that it's in a great location for where I work and the staff are nice and friendly

hotel accessible to many areas

staff were friendly and helpful. I understand that the hotel is due to be refurbished next year and certain parts do need attention such as bathroom. Ideal location to visit many towns and sights in the area.

A nice usable hotel

We stayed here for 2 nights has a bolt hold between Aberdeen and Edinburgh and I have to say I was a little worried when reading previous reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff in the reception, bar and restaurant were absolutely brilliant. We ate there both nights and had breakfast and could not complain at all for the amount or quality of the food that was served. It is close to the beach which was brilliant for our dog. Reception was clean and looked well looked after, twin room was a good size with a huge bathroom which was clean and very usable. I would defiantly stay here again when we in the area next.

Better than I expected

I was pleasantly surprised by the Panmure Hotel, having seen some of the reviews. Sure, it's not highly luxurious, but was clean enough and a good price, though I didn't buy the breakfast. My single room was quite small, with a single bed - which had lumps in rather odd places, though the pillows and duvet were fine. The shower was good, with decent toiletries. There was a desk and easy chair on castors, that you could move between the desk and window, where you could swivel the TV round - a decent enough flat screen with all the usual freeview channels. Wifi was free and worked well. There's adequate on site parking, even for a busy Saturday night (the music from the function room was loud, but didn't stop too late). Although the room was clean with a new carpet, there was a slightly odd smell on the landing - almost like cat pee! And the room's curtains were half falling off the curtain rail, meaning it was hard to get it fully dark.

Rundown and below basic.

Very tired hotel in need of a makeover. Bedding was stained and torn, no hand towels supplied. Cheap and cheerful. Paid £6.75 for breakfast and wish we had not bothered. Went down at 08:00 for breakfast and nothing was prepared!! No cereal or fruit juice available. Only received a small cooked breakfast each. Had to ask twice for some toast!! Loud music until midnight. First and last for us.

Panmure Hotel

The room (double) was really spacious, tasteful décor, it had a "castle" feel to it, even down to creaking floorboards! En-suite bathroom was large too, only quibble was I would have preferred a shower stall rather than the "over-the bath" shower it had. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice stay.

Panmure Hotel.

When arriving the external and reception area were very clean and pleasant. When I was shown to my room I was less than satisfied. The room looked as if it had not been cleaned, women's stocking silk under dresser. Chips and stains in bath!/shower. Dirty toilet. The pillows seemed like they were a more than a few years old. To me it was more like a room a contractor working away from home would have been pushed to stop in.

Dreibettzimmer für eine Nacht

Das Hotel liegt außerhalb von Dundee, direkt neben einem Golfplatz. Das Nachtleben endet weitestgehend um 20 Uhr. Das Zimmer war schön geräumig und sauber. Die Matratzen sind wie das Hotel leider schon etwas älter. Der Duschvorhang ging gar nicht, war einfach nur noch eklig. Das Personal war sehr nett und freundlich. Für 1 Nacht auf unserer Schottlandrundreise völlig i.O.!

Charming

This lovely, but older hotel has lots of charm. It sits next to a golf cours But also the train track. Staff were nice. Lift was out of order, making luggage movement tougher.
