The property was situated in a very nice area of Dunblane opposite the Cathedral. Entry was by a keypad and we didn’t see anyone during our stay. Plenty of tea and coffee provided for the room. The room could have done with a freshen up with paint especially the radiator. We had a nice stay at a reasonable price.

There was no breakfast available despite this being offers on the Expedia site and there are no staff on site to deal with any questions. I booked this because my previous visit 2 years ago was very satisfactory.

Stayed in room 10 2nd night:- In the evening when we went out, we couldn’t lock our room door. Tried a number of times, in the ned had to leave room unlocked. The next morning 14th tried to call the “emergency duty manager” at 09.30 hrs but no one answered. Left a message about the lock problem. Then rang the reservations number, But no one answered To this day no one has contacted us. Fortunately there was a housekeeper on site changing a room. She helped us by contacting maintenance who came and repaired the room lock Every night we were disturbed by creaking floorboards in room above every time people moved around. In morning woken by creaking floorboards. And when the above rooms shower was used it sounded like a bucket being filled from a hose in our room. Breakfast available for a fee - Doesn’t exist Free self-parking on site - Doesn’t exist. Free off-site parking is on the road outside or a carpark 100yds away. There is no bar. The restaurant / bar was closed a year ago. None of the guest services exist. All the outdoor areas are closed off. There is no communal areas or TV in lobby.

Very sad, unclean hotel.
Disappointed with this hotel. Despite the blurb on Hotels.com which was the reason I booked this hotel, there was no bar, no restaurant and no one around to help with questions. Our room, room 4, smelled strange on entering it as though it had been locked up for a while. Although the room looked clean it didn't feel clean to me. The blinds at the window were the cheap type and the pulley snapped off when trying to adjust the blind for more light. We fixed it though but it was annoying to have to spend time doing this. The sheets on the bed, while they looked clean, didn't feel fresh against our skin on sleeping. What I found strange about the hotel was that the restaurant was all closed up, the bar too, a locked door through which you could see a bar with stacked chairs etc. It felt eerie. If I had been a woman on my own I would have felt strange and would probably have left. The check in time was 4pm (not usual) and the check out time was 10am (too early!!). There was no place at the hotel to have breakfast, except in the town so we left and went to the Bridge of Allen for breakfast. The communal areas of this hotel were tired, grotty and not clean. The bed was ok but not overly wonderful. I stay in hotels all the time due to my work and this hotel, sadly, felt very sub-par to me. Dunblane is a lovely little town, quiet, quaint and sweet and very pretty. This hotel need a complete overhaul & a hotel reception with staff would add to the experience. It felt very lonely there.

Be careful booking this property some of the rooms are across the road above the local pub. Bed was old and needs to be replaced, bar crowd stood on street under our window until 0100…no sleep.

Amazing visit to Dunblane
What a brilliant find! Amazing view of the Cathedral from the room. Food was great in the restaurant and the included breakfast was fantastic. Room was very comfortable and I parked right outside the door. Dunblane is beautiful too! I would stay again!

Good location beside cathedral
Good location on a quiet street with ample free parking nearby. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The entrance stairs and hallway look very tired and not very clean which was not very welcoming. There was a very strong smell of cooking from the kitchen at the check in area. The room was very basic and grey monotone- the shower room was very basic and tired looking with a broken light fitting. The bed was large and clean but the mattress was very uncomfortable and should have been replaced. We had dinner which was very good and staff were very attentive. Breakfast was very limited in choice for Continental selection although cooked breakfast was ok.

An adorable find at a great price. Wanted a place to explore the Stirling area from, and this place made us love Dunblane the best out of anywhere else! The room is simple and decently comfortable, and the amenities are certainly fine. Definitely has a bit of a countryside feel to it - had to ask a friendly chap about how to actually get into our place as we were in the annexe. For the insanely good price though, I'd have settled for much worse! Oddly, one of the best features was the breakfast! It is simple, and only really has two options (other than the standard cereals and drinks available from a buffet table) but the quality of the food is weirdly insanely good. It's not Michelin star or anything, but it is hearty, filling and actually tastes good, unlike hundreds of other hotel breakfasts we've had. We ate it each morning and it was the perfect way to start out day. Great place, cheap price and absolutely adorable location.

Beautiful Chimes annex
Stayed at annex called Chimes,on other side of Cathedral,beautiful old house,but sadly for me too many stairs(my fault for not checking when booked) Also not at front of house so no cathedral view,I’ll make sure next time. Spacious big room,lovely big bathroom,enjoyed my stay as usual

Poor meal
Clean room, comfortable bed, bathroom fine, comfortable chairs in room. Unfortunately, the meal in MBK was extremely disappointing. I ordered rib eye - run out. So they recommended sirloin. I asked for it cooked to my specification. It was cremated and very very tough. They didn't charge me as I hadn't eaten anything. But disappointing nevertheless.

Self check in. Thankfully everything was ok as no staff about had we needed them. Breakfast choice was poor. Cooked or nothing. Hopefully it'll be back to standard after restrictions are abolished.

Was in an ideal location in walking distance to pubs, eateries river walks etc. My only critique is the breakfast was a little stingey. With no buffet breakfast due to covid they plated for you and half a black pudding is no use to anyone. Im a big lad and can handle a whole slice and more than one little sausage.

Two night stay to visit family
We stayed here for two nights to allow us to visit family. Self check in due to Covid worked well. Room well presented and all amenities in good order. Bed very comfortable. House keeping left a trolley in landing to allow people to collect additional towels etc. We are in the restaurant one night and the food was lovely. Recommend the haggis Bon bons. Breakfast both mornings was well organised and food of great standard. Outstanding value and great base to explore the city and surrounding areas.
