"We stayed for a weekend 12-14th September and having read the poor reviews just before, were worried but it honestly didn't deserve it.
1) cleanliness- yes the bathroom and certain bits could do with a deep clean but they were still clean and the bed and towels were spotless
2) amenities- the pools are huge and lots of sunbeds. The indoor gym is a bonus. We had the penthouse jacuzzi room and it did work, you just needed to fill it which was no issue! WiFi was sometimes intermittent but strong enough for streaming etc. Aircon worked great. The rooms admittedly are odd, there is nothing in the kitchenette except a kettle and 2 mugs. But there is a fridge and freezer which is helpful and you can't drink the tap water so bring bottled water. They no longer have the airport shuffle due to government restrictions so book a taxi!
3) food- we were at cielo one night which was a much posher experience and lovely food. Second night we ate here and the food was more basic but good price and still nice! The aperols were amazing! Breakfast was great, huge variety. But yes the coffee machines don't work!
4) staff- the staff were so lovely and helpful they really were, everyone was so nice.
It was really quiet this weekend and peaceful so whether it was a different experience out of peak season, but we enjoyed it and the negatives were little niggles but by no means an issue. The views, location, staff and pools were spot on for a peaceful break."
