Really excellent all round and even though there was a building site over the road the soundproofing meant very little noise got through. A little bit hot, too but the windows open fully if needed. I would recommend you get a good map though as the streets surrounding it are a bit of a maze and you will probably get lost and end up going the wrong way a LOT.

Still Coming Out From Behind the Iron Curtain
Exceedingly low toilet and a perilously high step into and out of the tub to shower. We're in our 70's and it simply felt unsafe. Also, the room service and restaurant were nowhere close to five star. Contact with room service was dicey and needlessly complex, and the restaurant had very limited choices.

We are willed to offer a shower room if the guests tell us that the bathtub isnot working. We already note that you prefer a shower.Our restaurant dont offer that many choices because we are focused on quality not quantitie.That the order process was to complex is a good thing to know. The location is good that you can go to sighting seeing point in just 5 min walk. Various transport option nearby and you can go to major attraction easily. Breakfast is good and decent But bear in mind that some premium room may only has a small window that the room is relatively dark. And room in 3/f is the roof so that you may feel the room a bit smaller.

Phenomenal location, great rooms and large bathrooms. You're a 5-10 minute walk from everything in the old city. Pool is also fantastic and an added benefit of staying.

A bad choice for us to stay here, very small room.
Bad, just bad, we paid more and expected much more than one of the smallest rooms we ever stayed in, felt like a coffin, some features in the pool were not working and there was no water in the dispenser. First time in my life when I was refused a whisky after 23.00 in a (so called) 5 star hotel. Long walk from the room to reception and we had the luck of both access cards not to work at the door. Parking is not theirs, they will park your car in the public parking in the city so after you leace it with them...hard to get accesa to it. The entrance was a building site, not what we expected at all.

Trip to Dresden
It was amazing the city and the hotel and staff. Jessica at reception was a star helping guests to know the jam city of Dresden and help with professional suggestions about the city and personal ones. When I come back I will stay only in this hotel.

Another Fabulous Stay
This was our third visit to this hotel in 6 years, staying there for 3 nights on this occasion. It is nothing short of superb in every way. The staff are helpful and friendly, the hotel is beautiful both inside and out, and the rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. We had breakfast each day which was varied and good quality. The hotel is in the old town and is walkable from the main railway station, or 3 stops on what is an excellent tram system. It is close to many bars and restaurants, and the main shopping area. It is easily accessible to all the main parts of this beautiful city. It is remarkable value for its quality and I would not just recommend, this genuinely 5 star hotel, I would urge people to visit.

The breakfast was incredible - in addition to a large buffet, made to order was also available. The staff were amazing and helpful as well. The location was also in a quiet part of Dresden, but very walkable. Highly recommend.

Outstanding service, very much in contrast to the old West Germany ( my wife is German and was especially impressed that general service and friendliness in Dresden is exceptional and hasn’t changed since our last visit ten years or so ago). Super location for the Altstadt.

Probably the nicest hotel and best service I’ve received in a very long time. Even though O don’t speak German at all. The customer service people did everything they could to assist me.

In advance of arriving the staff was extremely helpful in answering all our questions and in helping us with plans for attrending an outside event. The breakfasts were delightful with the exception of omelets which were not edible, the only negative the whole stay. Location was excellent for The Christmas Market and accessibility to restaurants of quality and different menus.

Set in a stunning and stylish historic building, the Gewandhaus offers spacious and comfortable accommodation. Picture show view from Room 213. Centrally located next to the Rathaus, the main sights, plus restaurants and shops, are within easy walking distance. A splendid buffet breakfast is offered to guests. My only criticism is that, despite the hotel’s advocating the conservation of water, the bathroom had a ridiculously huge spa bath with a very high ledge, which made it difficult to step over to use the overhead shower,

Dedicated surface car park opposite hotel. Well located for most sights and waterfront. Hotel has a luxury feel about it. Our room was well appointed but located on the top "attic" floor which meant a sloping ceiling and small window. We enjoyed a fantastic meal in the hotel restaurant one evening with possibly the best steaks we have ever eaten but at a price!

Luxury Stay
This hotel is very luxurious. The bathroom is all marble with a bathtub for two people. Centrally located, near restaurants and all attractions. Great spa area with pool, sauna and steam room. We would certainly stay here again.

Beautiful Hotel
A beautiful hotel perfectly located with a lot of the touristy spots within a quick walk. The staff was fantastic, answering all our questions and lending umbrellas to guests as it had been raining when we arrived. Beautifully furnished and clean rooms. The only downsides is that the temperature can't be changed in the room, but that seems to be a rather common issue and during our stay wasn't an issue once we opened up the window.
