"Solo traveler staying in oceanfront room for 2 nights, enjoyed it so much that I extended it to 3. Staff is friendly and helpful. Impressive lobby and nicely decorated lounge area (the plants!) and dining room (a place to partake your BYO food).The room itself is nicely decorated, very clean, new flooring, coastal themed bedding, fresh paint, cute vintage style mini fridge, overhead fan and wall a/c unit, plus an unbeatable view of the beach, boardwalk, and sunrises. They offer coffee pods free at front desk, with the machine and milk/sugar in DR. I brought my own electric kettle and 1-cup pour over so I could make coffee and tea in the room. There’s a tv with streaming options in the room and they have beach chairs available to use for free. Terrific location right across from the Pavillion and a beautiful beach that is well maintained. Plenty of free and safe street parking, though depending on when you come and go you may have to walk a little bit, especially on the weekends. Plenty of restaurants and bars/nightlife nearby. Highly recommend the top floor ocean front rooms. Stairs only so you may have to make a couple of trips to get everything to/from the room, but that’s typical of this type of ‘grand hotel.’ Can’t speak to the other types of rooms but I’m staying in a ‘coastal’ north-facing room in June and will leave a review for that. "

"While the location is ideal, the hotel is in desperate need of a complete rennovation if they are going to charge the rates they are charging. The room was beyond filthy, old and run down. No hot water, walking around barefoot was a risk beyond health concerns, and nothing worked (TV, AC, MICROWAVE, COFFEE) until we called for a maintenance person (who was great). Think twice before spending your money at this very old dated property."

"Very old fashioned “motel”, with drive up to individual units The place is obviously quite old, built in the 50s or 60s, but clean and will maintained for what it is. But the place really reflects his age, with very limited amenities, no RestaurAnt or food,old outdoor unheated pool,no exercise room or really even lobby. Units are clean, but quite basic. Our room was cold, and the wall thermostat didn’t really produce any heat, so we asked for and received an extra blanket! Single amenity was a coffee maker— one for the whole place, located across from the registration desk! Not in the rooms."

"I will not stay here again. The chain lock on the door was broken, and no one was available to repair it. The television also did not work. A gentleman from the front desk came to assist, but he was unable to fix the issue. We were then informed that the only person who could repair it was at a party and would not be available until 11:00 p.m. The shower head barely produced any water, making it nearly impossible to shower comfortably. In addition, the refrigerator froze all of our food. We requested a different room, but the only available option was a smoking room. The reception area was unbearably hot. When I asked whether the air conditioning was broken, I was told that the owner does not allow staff to turn on the air conditioning in the lobby in order to save money. The beds, however, were comfortable, and the front desk staff were polite and friendly."
