"Place was perfect for the night"

"room was clean. beds were comfortable."

"Quaint throwback to the 1950’s. The room was clean, the staff friendly and the location very convenient to the beach, shops and restaurants. Parking is on site and the area is very quiet."

"Friendly staff. We appreciated their flexibility in changing the dates of our stay due to an unexpected hospitalization on the original dates. It was great to have a microwave, a full-size refrigerator, and ceramic cups/saucers with the coffee/tea equipment. The bathroom sink was small, with little room to place personal toiletries."

"4 adults and 1 small dog staying for one night of our road trip. We were greeted warmly by the couple at the front desk - check-in was quick and easy (we even got a good suggestion for where to go for dinner). The room was clean, and the TV and lights all worked. Room was nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. Check out was easy, too. Easy on/off the parkway. Good value for the price we paid."

"Your stay is like staying at your Aunt Sheila’s house. The hospitality and the 50’s theme is off the charts!"

"We loved our room had the ocean view and the updates are great. The floor was dirty it had hair all over we asked for a broom to clean it. Then the first night they gave someone a key to our room and told them it was there room. Not sure how that happened. Then the following night a worker came banged on the door and just opened our door and told us we are not to be in that room. He was very rude!! I showed him the key card that we were given and he said he would be back. I went to the desk and...

"The room was very clean, looked recently updated, and the beds were very comfortable. However the room was too small for 2 queen beds. One bed was so close to the shelving unit/closet the ottoman for the desk had to be lifted over the bed to remove it for use. The cabinet door to the refrigerator couldn't be opened fully (hit the foot of the bed). The fridge inside opened in the opposite direction and couldn't be fully opened either. It made it difficult to place items inside and remove them...

"My husband and I loved Avondale! This was our first time here, and we would love to return. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and made you feel like family. Our room had a wonderful view of the beach across the street from our front window and balcony. The balcony had a small table & 2 rockers to sit in which were comfortable. Our room was spotless and was kept beautiful all week. The staff did some cute creative bows with the towels. The continental breakfast offered fruit,...

"Nice, clean and beautiful hotel will definitely be back, the lights by the pool create a warm and cozy atmosphere."

"It a same that alot of the places to stay still keep that old feeling some updates would be nice but the old feeling is the way they wanna keep things"

"Great location with nice views of the beach. We visited off season, so it was quiet. Pool looked nice, but weather was too cold and rainy to use it. Same with the rooftop bar. Our room was comfortable and clean."

"The Inn is lovely and the staff is wonderful. The breakfasts were very filling with lots of great choices and the teatime and wine and cheese in the afternoon were lovely. The property could use some upgrading. The bathroom ceiling tiles were moldy and need to be replaced and outside of the guest room were trunks filled with cleaning supplies which should have been stowed way more discreetly. It’s an old house so the upkeep is considerable, but for the room rate, the place could use a little...
