"The hotel was lovely, the staff was so kind and the entire property smelled like orange blossoms from the trees next to the hotel. The provided breakfast buffet was so good and fresh and the staff also offered individual dishes as well as espressos! My only "complaint" would be that the location has very limited restaurants, like only 3 and 2 of them were closed on Mondays! Bring some snacks and you will love the hotel!"

Wayfinding about the hotel was strange and difficult, though our suite was spacious and the staff extremely friendly. "Staff were fabulous, special thanks to Ana, Bruno and Rita. Hotel was nice but tired, needs some TLC. Hotel is good for 2 nights, as dinner menu only changes every other day. Breakfast was satisfactory. As the accommodation was listed as a “wine hotel” we were expecting wine tastings and a sommelier."

The hotel is pretty basic and the town itself doesn’t have a lot to offer - look elsewhere for a Douro experience unless you want to see the church stairs."

"We had a wonderful stay here! The location is convenient for winery hopping in the Douro Valley and the view into the valley is spectacular. It is very near a little town (Armamar) that had several delicious restaurants. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. We highly recommend their wine tasting with the cheese/charcuterie platter accompaniment - it was the perfect way to start our stay in the Douro when we checked in!"
