Full Moon Budapest

8/10 Good

"There is a very loud night club in the shared courtyard of the building. They tried their best to soundproof it but the sound was exceptionally loud. If you are a light sleeper, this is not for you. No carpet, no sleepers, cold floors. Heater was not working properly - when we asked the stuff, they came in and put the AC on with 30 temp, that DID NOT help, nor it was supposed to. They did not install half the blinders, so out room was exposed through the sheer curtain. The stuff was friendly though"

10/10 Excellent

"Nice hotel. Clean and nice location. Reception staff were wonderful but many of the staff in restaurant lounge and buffet were rude and short; almost annoyed you were bothering them. Stayed there before; probably will choose another location bcuz of the restaurant lounge evening staff. Breakfast and lunch buffet were very good but dinner buffet was not. Spa is fair. Nothing spectacular. Only one pool available due to construction. Had two Thai massages. The first was amazing with Anna. The second with another woman was awful!"

8/10 Good

"The property is situated a fair walk from the main city sites. Interestingly I was treated differently to other guests that I observed, perhaps due to travelling with two small children. Rooms were serviced daily, although both days my used coffee cup still had residue of coffee that hadn’t been cleaned around the edges. I opted for the al Le carte menu for breakfast as my children don’t require a full Buffet option- again, we were left waiting for our plates to be cleared away and I took a significant amount of time for staff to see that we were waiting to settle the bill."

ibis Budapest Castle Hill Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Good room with clean comfortable bed. Bathroom had a good shower. There was a tv in the room and hairdryer in the bathroom. No tea or coffee facilities in the room but I was able to buy it at the bar and take back to the room in a takeaway cup. There was also a free drinking water machine on the floor and a vending machine with drinks and snacks, if you wanted them. Just behind the hotel is a small supermarket too. There was a noisy school party on my room which disturbed me the first couple of nights but the hotel gave me an alternative room when I asked to move. Ate dinner in the restaurant the first night and it was very good. Lovely staff and good service from everyone. Close to metro and some bars, restaurants and bakeries nearby. Good for transport links too."
