Hotels near Dores Beach

"Great location. Paid parking is close. Most of the old building looks refreshed, but some hall carpeting looks tattered. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious. Breakfast buffet was hearty, but the coffee offered was so bad we bought instant in town and made our own at breakfast. Staff are very nice. There is a bar on-site, but we didn't use it."

"This was our 4th Premier Inn we stayed at and all other 3 were great. This one was unfortunately not. Rooms were clean, but were older and not in great shape. Tables were broken, marks on walls, etc. Totally fine for the one night we stayed, but would not want to stay for numerous nights. Also couldn’t use the reataurant for Supper. Even though there were only about 10 people in the entire place and 90% of tables free, they told us they could not accommodate us. Didn’t really make sense, but again, not a big deal."

"A lovely hotel in a perfect setting by the river. My only quibble is that one morning at breakfast two staff members had a disparaging conversation about a colleague within earshot of guests. Bar prices were a bit on the high side but other than that The Palace was terrific."

"A beautiful building but could do with a refresh on the inside. The sitting rooms were cozy and welcoming but the sofas really needed a clean. Our room was quite dusty, the curtain pelmet had half fallen down and the windows hadn’t been cleaned in quite a while. Took the shine off what was going to be the highlight hotel of our Scottish road trip, as it was the most expensive by far. Because of that, it fell short. "
