Cymer Abby near Dolgellau, Norh-Wales
Begun 1895 and consecrated in 1898; designed by H Wilson, London. Commissioned by Mrs Louisa Tooth in memory of her second husband, the Reverend Charles Tooth, formerly chaplain of St. Mark's Church in Florence. The church is in a bold and severe style, and shows the influence of contemporary Art Nouveau architecture.

Really busy time of year for the staff... CJ was fabulous and helpful... Second time at hotel and still cozy and very warm... Had to wait a while for dinner...but it didnt matter, staff were apologetic and made amends.. its a nice place to stay

Clean, spacious room. Friendly check in. The continuous “drone” of something, maybe a boiler, throughout the night, making the use of ear plugs necessary, for a light sleeper, took the edge of our stay - room 1. There was no problem with the road outside or the customers from the pub.
