"Yr Hen Farcdy is wonderful accommodation in a beautiful setting, close to Snowdonia and all the special areas of north Wales. The rooms are comfortable, attractive and private, and the hosts Mike and Sue could not be more hepful. The breakfasts are delicious with a great range of options. We loved our 6 nights there and highly recommend it as a base fir exploring the region, or a spot for just chilling out."

Everything was provided, from ecofriendly shampoo and bodywash to pristine robes and towels, a lovely coffee machine, fresh mik with the tea facilities and an excellent guide to the house, its facilities and local walks. "I found the staff very friendly and helpful. On my first night the weather was awful and sadly the room had a few leaks. I informed the staff the next morning to make them aware. Water damage is not good. They immediately asked if my suitcase was ok and asked if I needed anything drying. They then proceeded to move me to a lovely big room, which was lovely and very spacious 😀"

It's a shame they don't do evening meals but there are plenty of options in Barmouth centre just 10 minutes walk away though you will have an uphill walk back. Really enjoyed my stay. "

"The room was comfortable, tea and coffee making facilities, there was also draws and hangers for your clothes, there was parking but i didnt use it cause i came by train the station was near to the hotel 2 mins walk, the breakfast (which i didnt have) seemed ok there was cereals, pan au chocolate, i dont know if there was a cooked breakfast because i needed to catch an early train which was before breakfast started but the lady left me out some pastries for me take which was a nice gesture. "Lovely old property -well maintained. Plenty of parking. Views of the Cader range beautiful. Food both in the evening and breakfast was delicious. Very fresh and nicely presented. Good choice of food. Our host was lovely-very friendly and chatty. We really enjoyed our stay and would go again."
