Lovely location
Room was cold.we felt hotel needed upgrading especially for price.no kettle in room but at midnight staff found us one. Bathroom tired. Staff very helpful but could have been smarter looking. Breakfast excellent. Overall disappointing considering price
New management has made many upgrades to the property. This was the first time I visited, so I didn't miss the old quirks; I found the place delightful. The Snug is a lovely lounge with wood-burning fire that was great for a cold night. I'm sure the outside tables would be lovely in warm weather. The location right next to the footbridge is charming.
I stayed in room 2; the bathroom was a bit small and awkward, but I understand they have to work with the structure that's there.
Nice recently refurbished property and very helpful staff. Might be a small minus for some visitors, no area with lounge chairs to take advantage of the magnificent views.
Beautiful place and fabulous location. Gorgeous room, luxuriously decorated with nice views over the Estuary. Food in the evening was excellent and the service was spot on. Nice breakfast the next morning too. Staff were very friendly and really looked after us. We will be back.
Lovely setting, comfortable and friendly staff.
Beer on tap was very good and reasonably priced as was the wine. Food was disappointing and we preferred to travel to Dolgellau for our last nights meal.
I loved this hotel! It was adorable and in a beautiful location. The food and drinks were great. And the staff was so kind. I left my wallet out on a table and they found it within minutes.
Property is in a fantastic location and has been furbished in a modern and practical way. The staff are willing to please but based on a couple of experiences do not seem well organised ( eg. I had £53 of food & beverages incorrectly charged to my room ). An experienced manager would be a worthwhile addition.

Fantastic views
Very comfortable bed, great breakfast, fantastic views. Informed the George is about to close for a major revamp by the brewery, just hope they don't price it out of reach once its completed.
For me, being disabled with dog, this is perfect - ground floor next to the car and estuary close to all my favourite seaside towns and very close are the mountains - for me - great !!!! Regular visitor.
Lovely position on the banks of the river. Excellent breakfast to set us up for the day

A little overpriced
Lovely location by the estuary; minimum traffic.
Room was spacious and comfortable but housekeeping could have been better and the bathroom needed upgrading and better cleaning. Noisy upstairs till after 12am with TV on and talking (staff? guests?)
Good breakfast service but the young barman could have been more cheerful!
