Lisa and Colin are wonderful hosts and made our stay at Borthwen really enjoyable. Breakfast was lovely and had something for everyone. Would highly recommend this property if you are fortunate enough to be visiting the beautiful North Wales area.

Borthwen B&B is a fabulously run B&B. Colin and Lisa are great and make sure their guests are happy and looked after. The location is very good as it’s a couple minutes walk into the main town. I would definitely recommend it.

What a view!

Lovely friendly B&B. Had the place to ourselves and the view was amazing and the town was beautiful. Had a great breakfast the next morning too watching the birds and having a good chat with the owners.

Just enjoyed our 2nd stay at Borthwen. Undoubtedly the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Amazing views of the beautiful scenery, our room very comfortable with everything you need, great breakfasts and fabulous hosts. We’ll be booking again as soon as can.

From start to finish we were made to feel very welcome and at home. Colin was always attentive and went above and beyond to make our stay trouble free. Lisa’s breakfasts were awesome and Izzy our Spaniel was made to feel at home too with dog blanket and bowl. Ideally situated for the climbing/walking of Cadier Idris and the pubs and bars in town. Borthwen is a lovely homely classy place to stay. The standards are very high and Colin and Lisa take good care of all their clients and provide a fabulous substantial breakfast.The views from the property are outstanding and the bird life in the garden provide great entertainment ! It would be hard to find a better B and B in Dolgellau

We had a lovely stay.

Colin and Lisa are amazing hosts: welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable about the local area The B&B is spotlessly clean, the room a nice size, with tea, coffee, milk, sugar (topped up daily) with cups, glasses, kettle, hair dryer, and TV also available. The bathroom/shower is lovely, the bed spacious and comfortable, and the room overlooks beautiful scenery. You book ahead for breakfast: the English breakfast was amazing, and there are cereals, yoghurts, fruit and various juices also available - as well as tea and Coffee. Prticular tastes and preferences are catered for, and the breakfast is freshly cooked and to your requested individual requirements. We are looking forward to staying there again.

Busier than pictures suggest but not bad value

Very judicious photography. The hotel is actually on the corner of one of the main routes down to the beach so we often found ourselves sunbathing by the pool with solid traffic honking horns just metres away. Could still chill out there though and the pool bar is very handy. Room was a little small for families but we weren't in it that often. Breakfast was good: plenty to choose from and a nice relaxed self-service system. Fairly well-equipped gym, pool and table tennis. Overall, not bad value for Olüdeniz (but we also found Olüdeniz to be a bit more Benidorm-y than the standard 'blue lagoon' photos suggest).

Wonderful stay at Borthwen B&B

Amazing short break at Borthwen B&B. Beautiful big room with lots of little finishing touches. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts Colin and Lisa. Fabulous freshly prepared cooked breakfast to start the day off. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a base for a weekend (or longer) in wales.
