"Older hotel. No lift from car park to main building and lifts. Charge $22 per day parking even if you stay in hotel. Breakfast was disappointing. 1 Water for tea was cool. 2. No omelette to order. 3 scrambled eggs were made of powdered eggs or they tasted like that. 4. No prunes or tinned fruit to put on cereal. 5. Toast machine did not toast but were warned to not put in twice. If you did toast came out burnt. Should be programmed to come light toast or dark toast if put in twice. Room was...

"Communication between staff was not good and made organising access to our room difficult. 1 said we could possibly get access at 11 then next not until 3pm. We would have paid for access. More powerpoints in the room are needed, especially near the bed for medical devices."

"The front staff was friendly. The room was adequate. We read about this Ascot online and it was not as put forth, said one could walk to the cruise port, and there was breakfast. Neither are true, it was an outdated website. Traveller beware of wrong not up to date web pages."

"The housekeeping service was terrible as the room was still not cleaned after 2 request and by evening my room was still unattended and I had to make the 5th call before actual attention was taken. Total put off, will not stay here again."

"Overall visit was good. Breakfast was great and enjoyed the bar - staff very friendly, calm vibe. Room was lovely but bathroom was not the cleanest - some hair left in bath and skim of soap on the bathroom floor made it slippery even when not wet. Arrived as linen truck was loading/unloading and resulting in blocking of driveway so getting in and unloading luggage was a minor hassle. Comfy bed, good amenities and breakfast staff helpful and friendly."
