"We wanted a home base instead of moving around from one hotel to another while we explored this part of Ireland. The Dingle Skellig hotel is in the perfect location if you do not want to be in the center of all the activity. It’s a short ten minute walk to town. "The check-in was an indicator of how the stay would go. We were given room key and told it was straight down the corridor opposite the reception desk. It transpired that the room was almost at the furthest point one could be from the reception area and involved a number of changes of direction and finally a very steep and narrow staircase with literally no landing outside the room.
