Wonderful experience
This hotel was amazing. We will definitely be here again. There was a problem with our room’s hot water but this was corrected immediately and we ended up getting complimentary drinks from the bartender as a result. Great live music too in their bar.

It was elegant and quiet. A lovely Library Bar. A nice continental breakfast. Does have a dress code, which keeps it classy. We will definitely stay again.

I never got to stay in the room because the hotel cancelled my room and never communicated it to me. They claimed to cancel the room days before the reservation, but Expedia did not email me until after I tried to check in. It was a horrible experience. The front desk agent was very nice, but at no point did any manager offer to talk to me or help me find another place to stay.

Overall, a nice stay. Was a bit noisy outside and people coming in late at night being loud. As far as the hotel, very nice, cozy and clean. Bed and pillows were super comfy, which you don't see often in a hotel. Staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Would stay again

Hotel is beautiful. The bed, the sheets and towels are all fabulous. Loved the blackout shades. I suspect the bathroom could have been cleaned a bit more thoroughly- found toothpaste goo on the toilet lid…meh. REALLY enjoyed our dining experience at Bohemia. Had an excellent sever (Jen) who was friendly and knowledgeable. Sommelier was helpful and Chef came by to say hello. There are a couple of things that could be improved- not sure what is Covid related or the norm: please find a way to have COFFEE/tea provided in the room! If you cannot provide in-room dining, then at least have a Keurig or something. Also- there was no valet to come get our bags when we arrived (in the rain) and we carried our luggage up the steps on our own. In our room there was some electrical noise that kept coming in and out all night- couldn’t find the source. Understandable- this building is old. Overall enjoyed our stay. Would come back to dine or for a drink at the bar.

Hotel and room were beautiful. Customer service was poor. Valet didn't even open our doors or offer to get a cart for our luggage. The manager brought one after I complained. For the price of the room and valet, it was disappointing, including no car service. We missed our Saturday night boat tour by 5 minutes because there was no car service, uber was so slow, and the Valet was slow. Also, I would've sworn it was a brothel the way women were dressed and considering the dress code. My wife couldn't wear a hat but women can wear a dress that shows it all...

The staff are very accommodating. But Be aware of a few things at this property. If I had known before we booked, I’m not sure I would have continued the booking. 1. Free wifi but no USB ports and the electrical outlets are not conveniently located in the room. There are none by the bed to plug devices in and there is No clock with USB ports either. 2. There is a dress code in the hotel. It is a 19th century gentleman’s club and In keeping with that theme, there is a dress code that does not allow shorts, sneakers, sweatshirts, hoodies, ball caps (unless going to/from the gym), holey jeans or pants, and other things that I don’t remember. The dress code is enforced in the restaurant & lobby bar. you sign a pledge that you understand & agree to the rules of the dress code when you check in. 3. There is only one restaurant which is only open for dinner. There is no room service and food deliveries are not allowed. We didn’t like the restaurant menu and didn’t eat there. there are really no reasonably priced restaurants or fast food around the hotel. They have a “mini bar” in the room but it is overpriced with few options. 3. Their cigar bar smoke at night permeates through the guest floors and rooms and just makes everything stink. 4. The hallways are very dark. There are big fixtures but they give off more glare than light. 5. They advertise in room slippers but we had none.

The hotel was amazing, one of the best experiences in a hotel I have ever had. And I have been to over 56 countries so I have stayed in a lot of them! I was only there for 1 night for business, wish I had more time there. The only disappointment was it wasn't clear on the site that all of their lounges were closed on Monday, and I just so happen to be staying there on a Monday. It was clear after digging on their website, but on hotels.com it was not. I did call hotels.com to complain, they gave me a $50 credit, but I would have rather spent that at what looked like some amazing lounges! I absolutely will stay here again next time I am in Detroit, hopefully not on a Monday night! But highly recommend it, staff was amazing, room was great, great experience with what I was able to experience!

First,the hotel is a boutique hotel with only 10 rooms. the decor is beautiful. it is clean, the bed is comfortable, the front desk is warm and welcoming. Second, unfortunately, the room we were in was extremely noisy. feels like we were on a plane. We were told that the exhaust fan in the kitchen was right next to our room. The noise did go away at 11:22 pm but went back on at 9 am. It didn't bother us tremendously because we went out for a show in the evening. but they do need to fix this issue, or you may want to make sure not to get that room( Rm 407). there were other minor issues like no USB charger, lukewarm shower water, no slippers, no luggage rack, no dresser, no pot to make your own hot water, and a tiny bit sewer smell from the tub( my husband fixed it by running some water to seal it), but the front desk responded quickly and brought what we needed. Third, my least pleasant experience was the brunch. we went there right after check out, we were the second guests there, ordered simple dishes and waited for 45 mins, by the time the toast was brought to our table, it was cold. I finally lost patience by then. if you are not an extremely patient and kind person, maybe there is not a place you should stay. or just do not eat there. But if you are willing to take an adventure and try some different experience than the chain hotels, and don't mind to tolerate the imperfection, it is worth for a visit.
