Our room was spacious and clean. The parking spot was right next to our room. The inn's location is nice, close to downtown. Founders Brewing is also close by. We felt safe. The icing on the cake was Mona's hospitality. She was always available and willing to please. Her breakfasts were delicious. Lots to do in Detroit. We'll be back.

We really enjoyed our stay and we’re pleasantly surprised with the Winder St Inn. The owner and staff were friendly and attentive but not intrusive. The room and amenities were excellent as well as the breakfast they serve. It is an easy walking distance to Comerica Park, Ford Field, Fox theatre and many good restaurants. We will definitely be booking here again for our next trip back to Detroit.

It was a nice bed & breakfast. Love the idea of an old home being remodeled for guests. The breakfast was good. It was delivered to our door but I do miss going down to a warm breakfast and seeing others that stayed there. We walked everywhere ..it was pretty convenient and was close to Tiger stadium. Our smoke detector battery died about 6:30am tho...it was a loud few hours...but we ate and we're heading home after anyway.

What gracious guest you were. It was our pleasure to serve you.
Went to Detroit to watch Tigers and couldn't have found a better place to stay. Literally a 5 minute walk to the game. In fact you can to anywhere. Our downstairs room had everything you need. Like we had the whole house too ourselves. And you'll never find anyone nicer and friendlier than Mona. This place is a gem. Can't wait to get back.

Dear Ms. Emily
Thank you for staying here at the Winder St Inn. It was my pleasure to serve you.
An amazing piece of Detroit history that was comfy and cozy to stay at. Room was very spacious, clean and well taken care of.
Mona was extremely pleasant and very helpful. She went out of her way to help us when we needed to find a walk-in clinic for our medical needs. She even called us later in the day to make sure we found a clinic.
The breakfast in the morning was good with eggs, sausage, homefries and fresh fruit.
She even called us before our arrival to ask if we had any dietary needs.
I can’t say enough about Mona and The Winder St Inn.
Thank you for a great place to stay!

The hospitality, the location, the ambiance, i could go on and on if i wasnt given limited characters! So many places in walking distance (2 min walk to ford feild!) And unlike everywhere in surrounding areas, theres FREE PARKING and a healthy wholesome breakfast waiting at your door at 9AM! A true gem!

Mona, the Innkeeper is simply fantastic! She caters to your every need. The property is a beautiful 150 year old house that makes a beautiful B&B. It is secure, clean, and historic. Just fantastic! Walking to Ford Field is a little over 5 minutes away. Highly, highly recommended.

Thank you Kim for the kind words. ! I really appreciated you staying here with us at the Winder St Inn.
Mona
Poorly renovated. Far too much money for what it is. When I asked for an ice bucket I was given a Tupperware container of ice. I said I was not prepared to text photos of my credit cards for security reasons… when I got there they took photos of them and texted me the pictures! Very unimpressed

Jennifer I'm so sorry to hear you were not satisficed with your stay. The Inn was built in 1872 and restored to its original Grander [n 2004 We were hosted in Crain's Magazine for 12 months!
The décor is from the period of the 1800s but everyone style.

Very friendly staff, proud of their place. Bar on site. Great access to Little Ceasars Arena, Ford Field, tiger stadium - all walkable. Good restaurants in walking range too.
The 150 year Winder Inn is a well preserved relica. Monica, goes out of her way to tend to your needs. The location is very accessible to The Fox Theatre & sporting events.
Nice unique home restored beautifully. I recommend it if you are going to Ford Field, Tiger Stadium or anything downtown. Quick walk w/o the hassle of parking.
Ms Mona is the warm host at this B&B: she is helpful, gracious, respectful of guest privacy, and a good chef. This is a charming old house on a safe street very close to downtown.
Very cozy and accommodating. Though I I was booked for a hotel suite, through no fault of the Winder Inn but the agency itself, me and my wife had the most amazing night there. The staff was most tentative to our every need and left no detail unchecked.
