"We stayed at the Kon-Tiki for 3 nights prior to a cruise. In general, the hotel was excellent, with very comfortable beds and superb overall cleanliness. There were 3 specific things that dropped the rating a bit. The housekeeping staff took our small towel on the second day and never replaced it. The filtered water bottle was refilled, but the filter itself wasn't replaced correctly and I ended up pouring water all over the counter when it fell out. And finally, the sink looks good, but I found...

"Great location. Within walking distance to ferry terminal and cruise terminal. Close to waterfront- nice area to walk along. Several restaurants within walking distance for breakfast/lunch/dinner. Staff very friendly- alway ready with a smile. Hair dryers not in room but available upon request. Strange thing - could not figure out how to turn off bathroom light so closed door at night. Also , in our room anyways, both the toilet and the bed were so high lol "

"Nice place to stay. Air conditioning wasn’t very cold. Very clean, friendly staff. Room was oceanfront and very large. Lots of fish, rays and turtles in the lagoon visible from the restaurant. Nice pier and reef to snorkel around. "

"The perfect place if you're looking for peace and quiet, the sunbeds overlooking the ocean are unmatched. There's a local shop which has lots to offer for breakfast/lunch options and/or light teas. There's a couple of restaurants within a 10 minutes walk. Otherwise, a 30 minutes walk into town is needed, there's no pavement or streetlights but if you have a torch it will be fine (we did this numerous times and felt safe)."
