"Charming fishing village. Guest house located very close to a good restaurant--the only one! Check-in is unmanned. The key with our name on it was awaiting us. Very nice included breakfast."

"Very nice stay here, staff were super nice. We didnt have the evening meal, but they did offer several options. Breakfast was basic, however staff had other options to add upon request, (scramble some eggs etc)without extra cost as well which was nice!"

"The owner, Birna, makes this place shine. Very friendly, funny, and personable. She was the highlight of our stay. Our room was clean and very spacious. The bed was great and we slept very well. Beautiful hotel in a beautiful area ran by a wonderful owner."

"Had a lovely one night stay at North West. Great service from lovely staff. Our room was clean and inviting, and the bed comfortable. The food we had in the restaurant was absolutely delicious! I will be dreaming about the parmesan & garlic bread sticks for a long time. The bathroom was small, but no complaints as to cleanliness or functionality. "

"Great property with friendly staff. The room and the shared bathroom are very clean. The dining area and the kitchen on the second floor overlooks the sea with incredible view. The complementary breakfast is really good. There is a small library area with a lot of books for bookworms. Not far away from the property cross street from the church is a nice restaurant with great food, service and nice views as well. We had great stay here for one night and will definitely stay again when we come...

"Quaint little cabin, with everything you need to brave the high winds of the west fjords. One recommendation, provide a mini bar with a red and white wine and mini liquors. After the treacherous drive through the icy mountains, we could’ve really used a drink to calm the nerves. Beautiful property Would stay again!"

"This was a lovely oasis of comfort after a long, difficult drive. The restaurant is excellent. The geo thermal pool is so close and easy to access. And it is very convenient for the ferry. A wonderful place to stay."

"The owners were kind and lovely people! Room was very clean and cozy with good blinds and curtains. The balcony in the restaurant/breakfast room was lovely. Overall an excellent stay and would recommend it warmly."

"Excelent stay at Country Hotel Heydalur, they mean the country part. Its set on a working farm, so icelandic horses are just around the corner from your room. 2 geo pools of different temps and another pool inside a greenhouse to help wind down a day. There is also a natural geo pool across the river, which normally is easily accesed but at this time the staff described as "complicated" due to river being so high, but was able to get to by crossing shin high water in certain spots of the...
