"The setting of the hotel is superb – nice beach (the water has great mineral quality to it), different walks at the door step (Congo-Nile trail or lakeside paths, coffee washing station nearby is great to visit). The food is excellent (from the local vegetable and fruit garden) and rooms are spacious and well-maintained. The downsides are 11 km of dirt track in poor condition (allow extra 10-15 min relative to google maps estimate) and rooms can be too warm at night (24C at night, no aircon) "

Getting there at night can be tricky as google maps is wrong while there are few signposts showing the way. The setting is fantastic and what a tranquil and relaxing place! "They placed me in a room that reeked of mold and mosquito chemicals. When I requested a different room, the staff sprayed deodorant in the one next to mine—I could hear it clearly. When I asked about it, she confirmed it. That response was both unprofessional and unacceptable. I left the property within minutes, wheezing and with a pounding headache."
