"Our usual goto place for an upmarket stay in Taupo. This time was a little disappointing. The room 336 was showing signs of neglect with damaged fittings, scruffy paint and a slightly mouldy shower tiling. The TV looks like a low budget unit you might get from Temu and requires you to cast your own Netflix if you want to watch a movie. "The motel is well located, with good parking. The room was fine, however the cleanliness isn’t good. They clean around everything, not under things, into corners etc. there was no room service. I’d call it budget accommodation at best."

"There are a multitude of different camping options available at the park. You can choose basic grounds for putting up a tent or you can get a traditional room to stay the night. The most unique thing about this place is that it actually builds a sense of community. The staff are very welcoming and very polite. Guess are encouraged to talk and hang out with each other. It is a very safe and very friendly family environment."
