We stayed at the outer building and had a pool all to ourselves, along with a lemon tree & breathtaking views. "It was a great place to stay. Up on the side of a hill looking down on the Douro river. Beautiful room and spacious bathroom. We had a balcony with our room. The hosts were great and knowledgeable of things to do. Great breakfast in the morning. Even had a decanter of port wine for tasting. Definitely would stay again."

The wine tasting experience was great and plenty of options that suit what you are looking for, especially if you have a budget. Staff were friendly and helpful. "The view was amazing, the walk to town was all downhill so you have lots of climbing back and forth. There was no restaurant on site, which would have been nice. The free breakfast was good enough for what our needs were."

"I was never able to get to the hotel due to road closures caused by flooding in the area. The hotel never communicated to me via any means before hand. I made multiple attempts trying to get to the hotel through different roads and all ended up being closed at a some point. The sun went down and it was very dark.
