"Hotel Matthiol was our favorite stay in Switzerland! The hotel is tucked just outside the main part of Zermatt, which made it feel peaceful and private, but it was still an easy walk into town, and the complimentary shuttle was a nice bonus. We stayed in a spa room with a sauna, steam shower, and a big soaking tub right by the window overlooking the mountains. The self-guided spa was perfect for relaxing, and the massage we booked was absolutely worth it. On top of all that, the restaurant...

"Absolutely would stay again. Check in was easy (as long as you are even slightly tech savvy), room was clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom was gorgeous. Shower did have a 30 second - 60 second timer, but was no big deal, great for eco-friendliness. Ski storage available, coffee (vending machine), and snacks available on main floor. Quiet stay, with gorgeous views from 360* around the building. About a 10 minute walk out of the main area of town, so would have to be okay with the walk, but there...

"My room has a balcony that is facing Matterhorn. It is spacious and it looks three times better from the picture. It also has a lift/elevator if it helps. Overall it is a great place to stay. Also it is 15-16 mins walk from the train, a little climb to the hill but for me who is not that athletic i can still manage A little downside was, when I first enter the room, and check the toilet there were f*c*s stains inside the toilet bowl. Good to have some double check for the housekeeping team"
