"We liked it because it was very near the lake. We disliked it because our bedroom was filthy. There was thick dust everywhere in our room. The back of the tv was disgusting. The air vent was filthy, the upturned lamp shade in the bedroom had whole families living in there. Even in the corridors there were swathes of dust. When we asked to move, the receptionist took us to another room this one the paint work was white and it was just as dirty, the receptionist didn't seemed bothered.

"The owner Ron is a great proprietor; he is so helpful in sharing information re Taupo and things to do. Rooms are immaculate and are cleaned with utmost pride daily. This may have been my 3rd visit in last 10 years and will continue to see lodging there on future trips."

"Loved our stay. Staff member at check in was great, friendly and helpful. Cleaners do an amazing job and the rooms are so spacious. I will absolutely be staying again if we find ourselves back in Taupo."

"The bedroom was very tired, chipped walls, a large chunk out of the plaster on the corner. Seemed to be dirt and dust under the glass on the desk. Dirty/dust where the carper meets the mini bar cupboard. Great underground carp park for a fee but worth it to charge my EV."
