"The hotel looked fairly new and outside and inside were extremely clean and modern. It is one of the new minimal types of hotels. There is plenty of parking that was very well lit. The desk clerk, Dede, was very pleasant and efficient. The lobby offers 24 hour coffee and tea. She told us about the Hometown Grill that is in walking distance and offers a discount for guests. We arrived on a Sat evening and the restaurant had a steak and seafood buffet for $18.99 (think Golden Corral type food)....

"I like it is right off the highway. The shower was bad the curtain was worse it was so orange and tied up . It was like it wasn’t washed in 6 months I was there in March nd the lady said the pool works in the summer. Today the lady said the pool hasn’t worked in 20 years. The walking path was broke. And closed off. There was a light pole in the inside walk way so wonder if dark someplace outside. The towels were small and cheap. The sheets were so scratchy ."

"Location was great, right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Be sure to take screenshots of your check-in code before arriving as there’s spotty Wi-Fi so we couldn’t even call the host. We drove down the road until we got LTE bars on cell phone and then we could check in. Bed was comfy, shower good. Lots of privacy; didn’t hear the neighbors in the cabin next to Dripping Rock. "The biggest advantage of this hotel is that it's 5-10 min. walking distance from downtown and Mary Baldwin University and that it is less expensive than other nearby hotels. Room was of a decent size. It had microwave, small fridge, iron and ironing board, hair dryer which which was very useful. It also had a coffee maker, but I didn't use it. The only downside was that, although it was labeled as a non-smoking room and it was written that it has been serviced to be such a room, every time you...
