The property is very well maintained — it’s not the most modern hotel out there, but it has a charm and quality that hold up nicely over time. The atmosphere is calm and quiet, which makes sense given that it’s primarily geared toward families. The bar at night is practically empty, so don’t expect a lively scene — but if you’re looking to unwind, that can actually be a plus. The grounds are great for walking, and the food is fresh, healthy, and genuinely enjoyable. A few things to note: the pool was a bit cold for the season despite being heated, and the fitness classes at the gym tend to get crowded, so we ended up going to another hotel for the spa experience. We also had a citywide blackout during our stay, which left us without electricity or Wi-Fi for a while — not the hotel’s fault, but worth mentioning. On the bright side, the location is excellent — you can walk into the town center easily, which is great for exploring. All in all, a pleasant stay, and I’d happily come back with friends again. "
