"Lovely old property in need of some TLC. My room was in the basement so was a bit fusty but the bed was comfy and there was lots of hot water for showering."

"Lovely hotel. Stayed with my wife for her birthday. We had a deluxe room which was quite a long walk from hotel reception. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was massive! Only negative points for the room were the amount of cobwebs and dust around light fittings and soundproofing between rooms. We could clearly hear people in other rooms using their toilet facilities. "Terrible experience on both Expedia and the hotel. I booked a room, did the pre-checking online after expedia sends me a messague. When I go to the hotel around 6.30 p.m. the guy at reception casually tells me that they cannot accommodate me because they had an issue with my room. That's it. On top of that; the person at reception tells me as if it helps that they contacted Expedia at 5p.m. which then when I called Expedia hours later after doing my own arrangements was not True. Horrible...

"Our stay was ok for what we paid. The room was clean but had no air conditioning, which in the heat wave was a bit uncomfortable. A fridge in the room would have been good. Breakfast was decent and they have a Starbucks onsite which was great. The staff were friendly and overall I would say it was value for money."

"The building was nice but the room had a dirty bath, not dusted room and the seal had gone on the shower so water flooded everywhere. The restaurant had an issue so it was 2 3/4 hours before our food was served. We literally could have driven home and had tea and come back within that time. But our bed was comfy."
