"The room was clean and comfortable with a great view. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They have their own parking lot. Security monitors the resort and parking creating a safe environment. There are resort kitties which was a nice surprise. They had live music every night and a great view from the swim up bar at the pool. I would highly recommend Bougainvillea."

"This is a new hotel I was told, however the reception experience when I arrived at 12noon was not great...check in was at 3pm and there was no one at the front desk, so my bags remained in the open area behind the desk for the 3 hours. There were two small crawling insects in my room, one on the comforter, the other in the closet, fortunately I caught them before either got into my bag... I had booked this hotel because it said on the beach....it is not, it is across the road (watch out for the cars) and a 5min walk down to the beach.... I am not sure if the beach chairs and umbrellas were for this hotel, so I used a rock to lay my items. The buffet for Breakfast and lunch was good, more than ample and the bartenders were very attentive. A 15 min commute to the airport - around $25 USD, which was good for my short stay. Overall, a pretty average stay, not sure I would choose it again, when I book on the beach, I want to be able to walk from my room down to the beach without a main road in between."

"The room was not very clean, the furniture had stains all over, the white comforter was off white. All the furniture was sticky in the room which made our skin very itchy. They start the introduction to the property trying to sell you a time share promotion, the resort is huge but hard to find things"

"The room was clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice, bed was very comfy, though the room was a little bit older. I had a king bed and a twin bed as well as microwave, sink, oven, fridge, toaster, etc... everything in working order. The water pressure in the shower was a bit low but we were on the top floor and it was sufficient. If you hope to take the bus around the island, the closest stop is about a 7-minute walk from the hotel. (Each time you jump on the bus it is $3.50 BB) It's a 15-minute ride to Carlisle Bay, unless traffic is congested in the mornings. The taxi from the airport to the hotel was about $30 us. The pool was clean and a nice quiet place to lay down in a sun chair. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the ocean, But we did our beach time over at Carlisle Bay. Some people may feel a little uncomfortable walking through some of the neighborhoods that are nearby, but I tend to be a wanderer and probably walked through more of the areas than a typical tourist. When you're a tourist, it's always good to walk around with a friend anyway. Everyone was friendly. Overall, this is not a four-star hotel. It really is a three-star hotel but the overall experience with the staff and the room amenities for the price gave this a four for me. And it worked great for me as a hub to jump on tours of the island etc. if I just wanted to hang out at the beach I would probably get a place closer to Carlisle Bay."
