Kintsvisi Monastery and the 13th century St. Nicolas church are famous for their amazing blue frescos and a "must see" stop-over, half way between Tbilisi and Kutaisi. You leave the motorway at exit Kareli. Drive 12 km to the south-west and in Kintsvisi drive up the hill on a 3 km, partly dirt road to be paved soon.

"Affordable price and good location are what this hotel is alll about. Staff are great and helpful. Yes the rooms are pretty basic, but they are clean. Only down side, thin walls, so you can hear everything going on around you. Would definitely stay here again, just fir the convenience. "
