"The rooms were a little run down (i.e., terrible mattresses, peeling paint on doors, sliding door that didn’t want to open). The property was beautiful and walkable but unfortunately did not have assigned parking which put your car potentially across the entire property from where your room was. The restaurant was okay but more expensive than the quality of food. But it was close to Belmont park and Mission Bay and the beach. Overall it was a lovely stay."

"Room keys didn’t work, our fridge was broken, when we arrived the bell desk man was not friendly at all or welcoming. My first dinner at covewood my chicken was so dry and I ate none of it but was still billed for it. I watched someone drive through and take out the gate in the parking lot and 6 cops showed up and no info given when called the front desk to see if we were safe. Bottles of water $8 each is excessive and there should be a microwave in the room."

"The pool was unfortunately reserved for a 21+plus party so our kids couldn't enjoy it. The beds are also hard. Its been over a week and im still waiting for them to release funds for my security deposit. Loud music and people in hallways in the middle of the night"

"El hotel se me hizo aceptable, nada fuera de lo común para un hotel donde simplemente buscas ir a dormir y salir de paseo. Solamente que las encargadas de limpieza quisieron entrar a limpiar ya muy tarde, eran las 3-4 pm y apenas querían ponerse a limpiar nuestra habitación, lo cual debería de entenderse que debería hacerse por la mañana ya que es cuando uno disfruta salir a pasear por la ciudad. Fuera de eso te cobran cosas extras según te vas registrando en el hotel, estacionamiento por día y...

"The parking situation is absolutely horrible! There are not enough spots for the amount of rooms so if guests have more than 1 car there is nothing for other guests. A truck with a boat parked across 7 spots every night we were there! Management dis nothing about it. Won't recommend this hotel to anyone!"

"Room was overall clean enough for a germaphobe like me. Bed and pillows comfortable but my husband said the bed was too firm for him. The duvet needs to be changed out. They use two bed sheets to sandwich the duvet instead of a duvet cover so easy to see how old the duvet is and all the stains. Was crowded during the July 4th weekend. Pool was packed with kids. Pool is also small for this size hotel. I liked that the hotel is on the waterfront thus making it an ideal location to see...

"Our room was overbooked and we end up in some “closet”. No proper beds, no soap, no hot water in shower. Absolutely disgusting service considering that we booked and paid in advance. Never ever will come back to this place again. Need full refund for this booking!!!"
