"My 16-year-old son and I had a great stay at Oualie! If you are looking for a luxurious, posh place to stay, this is not it! This is an authentic, island vibe. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. It’s location is convenient. We rented a car and went all over the island. The restaurant did great with their limited menu. Breakfast was our favorite. We caught Wahoo on a fishing charter and the chef did a FANTASTIC job preparing it for us. There are monkeys, random sheep and cows...

"First and foremost was the amazing view, I had Mount Nevis on one side and the ocean straight ahead. I enjoyed my private balcony and the spacious studio. I had breakfast daily near the pool and the staff was very attentive. I will be back."

"The hotel is isolated from the happenings on the island. I was told that the hotel was fully booked but there were no other cars onsite besides my rental. There was no one available for common questions and the gate was closed by 5pm. This was a manual gate which is fine but the lightening was bad on the exterior of the property making it difficult to see when returning after dark. When it was time to check out there was no one available and I had to shout for a while until a painter came down...

"Nisbet is on a former sugar plantation and buttresses the Atlantic. The grounds and rooms are well-maintained. It’s very laid back, an older crowd, except for the lively Thursday night barbecue on the beach. Outsiders come to Nisbet and live music is offered. Dinner food is fair, although quite good at the barbecue. Breakfast and lunch are pretty good, but with limited menus. Overall, a very relaxing vacation, but it is best to go off grounds for other experiences and restaurants."
