"Enjoyed our stay overall. Bed comfortable, room clean. Breakfast was good but no granola or beans on the first day, tinned and packaged goods why run out? Pitch and putt course poorly maintained. Pool good, sauna open, steam room closed, so again disappointing. "

"The owner is a very good and friendly host even carried suit cases up to the room and give us a drink on the house when we arrived. It's the first place I will look for to book the next time I am in Stamford "

"Great location in the middle of Market Harborough with parking. Despite being quite a big hotel it has a family feel with some charismatic staff. Overall would recommend as a largely well-run, no-frills hotel in a great location. "

"We had a lovely stay , the public areas were beautiful, however our room was disappointing as the only window was up high on the wall , which made ventilation an issue so it was extremely warm , and the room was in need of decoration . Having said that , I would definitely make a return visit as staff , food and the public areas were really lovely! "

"Clean with polite staff, only let down on minor points. TV reception very poor. Cold tap in bathroom often ran hot. Could have done with a comfortable chair in the room."

"Lovely place and very welcoming team. Refreshing change to a chain. Room was comfortable, a little rundown in places. Clean but maybe hadn't been used for a while. Would definitely go again and this time get a meal as planned. Thank you. "

"Lovely hotel on golf course with refurbished spacious rooms. Nice selection at dinner but the continental breakfast was a bit lacking."

"The hotel was a good base for the surrounding area. It was very clean and the staff were lovely and helpful. I've given it 4 stars on facilities because our room was quite small and didn't have a lot of room to manoevre around. Also we didn't realise when we booked that the pub didn't do food on the Sunday or Monday evenings and the bar closed early too. Overall a pleasant stay."
