"Hotel rooms of ggod size, however they are a little run down and in need of deep cleanse or refresh.
Pleasant grounds, with access to fitness centre etc. plenty of space to walk (as its a golf resort).
Breakfast buffet is well stocked with many options.
Hotel Bar prices are on the edge of extortion (1 x local Beer, Small White Wine - £26 !!! )."

"This is an extraordinary property – one of a kind. For anyone interested in or pleased by historic milieux this is a must-stay hotel. Features in the grounds date to Anglo-Saxon times and the main building to Tudor times. Even the 1930's changing huts by the pool are heritage-designated.
Most of the staff were also excellent, notably the cheerful, accommodating receptionists (we needed an electric space heater as the weather was so unseasonably cold that the ordinary room heating system...
