"The hall is magical. The stay was great and the room and food were excellent with one small exception. This is that the fabric covers on the chairs in the dining room were grubby. Also the decor in the dining room could do with a refresh. I mean paint, flowers lights etc."

"Lovely friendly staff but they didn't seem to know anything. There was no mention about breakfast times and location etc on check in. We asked about the pool but the staff in the main building didn't know whether it was included or not (it's not). When searching for a hotel, I specifically selected Air Con as a filter, but what I didn't realise until too late, is the rooms that came up on my search don't have any - fortunately it cooled down the night we were there. Lovely big rooms."

"I have stayed a villa many times, unfortunately this visit was disappointing, I arrived after paying 129.96 for 1 night which included breakfast..only to be told that I would have to pay another 10 pound for a cooked breakfast..I was told that I had payed for only a continental breakfast, this certainly didn't state this on my booking form, I was looking forward to quiet afternoon which didn't happen due to all the building work going on, then dinner well the menu wasn't what it used to be, so...

"Not much facilities in the room. No hairdryer, no ventilated fan in bathroom. No AC and it was so hot. We had to open the windows as it was hot. We could hear all the vehicles passing by at night! Difficult to sleep."

"Rooms were quiet as accommodation is at the back of the site with woodland behind. There is plenty of parking right outside. Decor is old and tired and it needs a facelift. Breakfast was ok, cooked options were fine and bread and pastries good but fruit and yogurt options very limited. Probably would choose somewhere else to stay if in the area again."

"This feels like a motel, with a mediocre pub attached, which was ok as I was just wanting a bed for the night. The room was spacious but wasn’t as clean as you’d expect, Doors were banging through the night didn’t help sleep! I ate at the pub. The food was poor value really, even though my expectations were not high. When the dish arrived half the advertised ingredients had been forgotten so had to ask the staff to try again."
