"We arrived after 7pm, and an envelope was on the reception desk with our name on it and room key in it, just like we were told it would be. The lobby had a fire going in the fireplace and was very welcoming with comfortable chairs and couches. Stayed in the Legend room on the second floor. It was clean with a king size bed and good shower. With the king size bed, room is a little tight moving around but was fine for our two night stay. "The resort was several miles outside of Clayton. It served our purpose well but the room was dated….the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. There was a hot water issue, sometimes we had some sometimes we didn’t. The spa, indoor pool, and other facilities were good. No golf as it rained the entire weekend but the course looked in decent shape. There was no one in the check in area when we checked out…didn’t open until 8."

"It didn't look like much from the outside, but our room was surprisingly clean. Unfortunately, it was VERY noisy with high amounts of traffic going right by the room. There were extremely bright lights right outside the door that made it look like daylight even at night. I have a really hard time sleeping with noise and light. The A/C had a very loud ROAR every time it turned on. However, the straw that broke the camel's back was the "continental" breakfast that was offered. The coffee machine offered dark brew all the way down to light brew. I chose the dark brew, and it was not even the color of a cup of mint tea. ALL of the choices were the same. When asked, the owner couldn't explain.....or fix......the problem. I have been in these types of hotels all lot lately, and it is highly common to see this type of cheap practices being used to cut costs to the bone. For a room that was almost $200 for ONE night, it is NOT OK that they cannot even provide a clean, fresh, enjoyable breakfast when advertised as such. We will not be staying at this type of hotel ever again."

"I never made it to breakfast until the last day & there were only remnants. I saw chocolate hostess cakes & some of what was left of cereal in the containers. Beds were comfortable, staff was nice but our bathroom light over mirror flickered or never worked & the test/reset buttons never kicked in for the hairdryer to work. This was much more affordable than staying up the mountain in Franklin or Highlands, but the light/hairdryer made it hard to get ready. No towel replacement on our 2nd night. "
