"Sauberes geräumiges Zimmer, mit Balkon und Blick aufs Meer bzw. das Kreuzfahrtterminal. Herrschaftliches Ambiente im Zimmer und im gesamten Hotel. Es gab Außenrollos zur Abdunkelung. Frühstück war super. Man konnte sich am Buffet bedienen oder Eierspeisen bestellen. Glutenfreie Auswahl an Brötchen und Croissants."

"There were 2 of us on this trip to Venice then the Dolomites. We flew into Venice around 3p. Getting transportation from Marco Polo airport was easy. We used a bus. It dropped us off at the standard stop in Venice. From there we were able to wslk while pulling our luggage for just a few blocks; however, one of the 2 bridges that we had to use to go over canals did not have a ramp, and it was a little difficult. The hotel staff - Vladimir and Marco greeted us, took our luggage and brought us...

"This is a lovely, small hotel with friendly, helpful staff in a wonderfully walkable part of Trieste. Like almost every city, finding street parking is difficult. Thankfully, I found out there is one temporary space in front of the hotel to unload or load luggage. Then, I found out that they have some indoor parking available just up the street for 15 Euros per 24 hours. Also, they offer a discount if you want to park in the nearby underground Park San Giusto which is less complicated driving...

Irene at the front desk was most helpful to me. She saw me struggling with my roller board to get it up the front steps. She left the desk & came down to help me. I thought that was so special."

"This was an amazing property - extremely well located. Within easy walking of the waterfront (cruise pier), and several major attractions such as the Roman theater. The property itself is amazing. The lobby area is very nice and comfortable. Elevators are a nice size and pretty fast. The room we had had a nice queen size bed, a very efficient bathroom with a walk-in shower. The entire hotel is set up as an extension of its name - The Modernist. Extremely clean facility - the breakfast...

"This is an elegant hotel perfectly located on a pedestrian street but close to taxis. There are restaurants, shops and all the noteworthy historical and entertainment places. The staff are wonderful. The room large, well furnished and equipped. The breakfast was outstanding. This is a great place to explore beautiful Trieste."
