"We had trouble finding the parking garage! One phone call and Jennifer got us there step by step. Very helpful to say the least. We were given a warm greeting upon arrival. The staff were all friendly and pleasant to talk with. Our room was very clean and inviting. There were beautiful candles lit in the bedroom and bathroom. A table was set up with fresh fruit and a pitcher of water. Elegant napkins and tableware were provided. Our two day stay was really wonderful."

"The property was lovely and great location. Staff were exemplary. Two areas for improvement - the wifi connection was inconsistent and not easy to connect to. Also we believed there was an outdoor pool based on the website description and were disappointed to learn it was only for the suite."

"Well organized property. Beautiful pools, amenities, transept& amenities at beach. Rooms dated, tired looking, have not been renovated since in over 20 years (as per sources). Could use updated, to complement surroundings & amenities. Limited supplies in kitchen. No coffee maker, toaster. Limited utensils, sharp knives for cutting. Limited housekeeping. Room cleaned, towels changed only twice during 10 day stay."

"Stunning historic property. The multitude of plants and flowers with vines growing on all of the old buildings were breathtaking. Very picturesque swimming pool area although the pool was very cold."

"Nice place, beautiful rooms, great breakfast and charming staff. Some issues with the bed, which was resolved but could have been with better quality. AC unit was ok but not cooling to the degree we expected it to and the internet connection fairly poor during the two days of our stay. "

If driving to Matera hotel will arrange a parking location outside of the property (very safe) will arrange pick up and drop off the parking location. Very well organized. Hotel has a roof top dinning location overlooking Matera and Sassi. Beautiful. The staff extremely helpful . Over all an excellent choice when staying in Matera. "
